We’ve got a really intresting event happening this Thursday on Indigenous voices in the Arctic, which will be valuable to those taking the Arctic paper at Part II, along with other feminist, economic and sustainability events. About the event: This event includes back-to-back performances from extrodinary Arctic artists, poets and musicians. This is part of the public programme accompnaying the Citi exhibition ‘Arctic: culture and climate’.
Monday 7th December 2020 – The Future of the EU-UK partnership:

About the event: This event is being held in English and explores the future relationsip between the UK and the EU. Speakers include Tom Tugendhat MBE MP, David McAllister MEP, Lord Kinnoull and Cheryl Schonhardt-Bailey FBA.

About the event: This event evaluates the possibilities and the prepardness of societies resilience to flooding. This is hosted by Catarina Heeckt and the speaker is Edwards Barsley. Barsley will draw on his RIBA (2020) publication ‘Retrofitting for Flood Resiience: A Guide to Building and Community Design’ which showcases flood risk adaption strategies at various scales.
Tuesday 15th December 2020 – Riot and Refrain: Sylvia Wynter:

About the event: This event looks at the work of Sylvia Wynter and opens up the ideas and explores how black feminist authors and thinkers reconceptualise voice, performativity and community against patriachal and racial oppression.
